Performing to the best of our abilities
Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God”
Performing to the best of our abilities , is a combination of talents and skills, which are God given gifts, combined with our “attitudes”.
Skills are primarily the talents we are instinctually born with. Our talents set us apart from each other. As we grow up, our skills are more defined and refined. It’s the knowledge and ability to do something efficiently. As a rule, it is necessary to be aware of our areas of skills and talents, to go ahead with any activity and be successful with it.
God blesses us with certain talents and skills, because He wants us to feel whole and complete, and as we use them for glorifying our father in Heaven, we experience the fullness of His love.

Every person is gifted in some area or the other, and God has also promised that He will provide us with everything we need for life and godliness (2Peter1:3), as long as we submit our lives to His will. SO His grace supplies us always— with God given gifts.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”.
James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
Exodus 35:10 “All who are skilled among you are to come and make everything the Lord has commanded”
So basically our skills are God’s gifts to us for bringing honour to His name and serving mankind.

Then there is a very important aspect of our lives to take care of–“attitudes”. God blesses each one of us equally . But it’s our attitude, that set apart those who will make it real successful in life, from those who will simply be adequate. Skills and God given gifts, are possessed by many, but only a few are productive and really fruitful in life.
Some are called to greatness and achieve much, yet some are barely able to make it, and some simply keep it going. This would be primarily because of the attitudes of people. Some are really blessed with great potential, but because of laid back attitude, they fail to put their act together and hence partially successful.
Attitude can be defined as—thinking, outlook or perspective which motivates or disposes a person to act in a certain way. Only few of us know how to harness or control our attitudes in the right manner.
(Shash Grewal(Shashwati) believes in being spiritual, rather than following man-made religious traditions.)
An attitude problem can cause havoc in our life. It causes us not only to perform bad in one situation, but also if not paid proper attention to at the right time, can pressurise subconsciously to perform bad in all situations. I often notice people, out of fear of failure from past experiences , they fear going ahead in their next stage of tests and growth in life. They refuse to take chances, and out of their pessimistic approach, remain in bondage of mind and hence mediocre performances in situations, in spite of having tremendous potentials. They keep fearing that they might fail again. What they fail to realise is, this thought itself is a vicious circle. It doesn’t allow a person to reach to the level of greatness, he or she has been called to.
Acts 5:29 “But Peter and the apostles answered, we must obey God rather than men.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away, behold the new has come”.
Proverbs 22:6 “train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it”
We need to accept ourselves first and foremost. Need to remind ourselves, that we are Children of God, created with perfection by the perfect Master of this entire Universe. He loves us, knows us, knows what attitude we harbour in our hearts (Hebrews 4:12-13). From the beginning He knew what we would be like, physically, emotionally and intellectually. He gifted each one of us in such a unique way, that only we can do what He has called us to do. He can use us in a mighty way in spite of our weaknesses, and make us progress in life. Give your little to God and see Him multiply it to, what your mind can’t fathom. He Is Able.

We are imperfect, but we should never forget the fact that we serve a Perfect Master
Colossians 3:23 “whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men”
Prayer:-
A faithful friend is rarely to be found who remains true in all the distress of his friend. You Oh Lord alone are the most faithful in all things and besides you there is no other such! When you stand by me, I have nothing to fear!! Amen!
