Many a times, questions have been raised by various people and doubts shrouded human minds, about the real existence of God. Many people claimed many things, time and again, with no valid proofs, but they generally doubted, and led many others to doubt the same. Generally weak minds start doubting faster, especially when going through a trial period. Quite natural. Human mind is overwhelmed in a vulnerable situation, so wonders those moments, that if God exists, then why he or she is going through such a bad time.
Many a times even I went through these emotions, when I was still growing in my faith.

There had been a very radical school of thought, “Carvaka/Lokayata – Indian materialism”, that rejected supernaturalism. According to them, their primary philosophical import came by way of a scientific and naturalistic approach to metaphysics. Hence it rejected ethical systems that are grounded in supernaturalistic cosmologies.
They did not believe life after death. It denied that there is any other world than this one.

They emphasised more on self gratification, and material pleasures. The philosophy dates back to approximately 600B.C( Christ had not yet walked the earth).

Another recent radical thinkers can be traced in the year 1929. ”The league of Militant Atheists. The league was a “nominally independent organisation established by the communist party to promote atheism, in Soviet Russia, under the influence of the ideological and cultural views and policies of the Soviet Communist Party from 1925 to 1947. So we can trace the beginning just a few years after the First world War (1914-1918) ended and growing stronger roots while the world was preparing for the second world war (1939-1945).

The period was sensitive and brutal for the world. Confusions were all around and things weren’t that peaceful. So being vulnerable and receptive to these kind of thoughts, were quite natural, getting brainwashed was all the more easy.

Now if we go through a bit in the “Holy Bible” , the scriptures would help in clarity of mind.

The very first line in the book of Genesis, Chapter (1:1) explains, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”
Genesis chapter One (1:31) goes on in explaining how God divided land and water, created vegetation, created light, separated light from darkness and filled the earth with His amazing creativity(question arises, who created all these if not God, cause I am sure we cannot turn a single dark hair, grey and grey one dark, so leave alone other creativities and breath life into them. Which means someone really Superior has done that job) Bible is the largest selling book in the world , even today. So the scriptures become baseless, if its not true.

God created Adam, first man on earth. In God’s own image man was created, (genesis 1:26-27). Chapter (2:21-22) of Genesis explains how Eve was created.

Genesis chapter (3:1-19), goes on to explain how man became captive to sin. Let me brief a bit. God forbade Adam to eat fruit from “Tree of knowledge”, but Adam got carried away by Eve’s insistence, who in turn got carried away by Serpent’s insistence’ , and hence brought punishments and captivity upon themselves. Their disobedience brought death and innumerable pains for mankind. So as per the curses, they landed on earth(they were banished from heaven), which again clears our doubts, on existence of God.

The Ten commandments the world knows about, written in the book of Exodus (20:1-17), God inscribed them on two tablets initially for isrealites, which He gave to Moses on Mount Sinai. (if He doesnt’s exist , the commandments are of no value).

There have been endless records of God personally speaking to Abraham, Moses and many prophets. Then question arises, how can so many people fabricate stories that made all the difference in people’s lives, not only those days, but impacting people’s lives even today.

The New Testament describes Jesus Christ’s Crucifixion, and after three days, His resurrection, which is “life after death” and Him living eternally in the form Of HOLY SPIRIT, in each believer, who prompts, guides, helps, convicts , but never condemns, loves and builds. (Hence Carvaka’s philosophy that rejected life after death and eternal life, has been proven wrong and baseless). If That’s Not God, then who is it? Because every believer has an impacting story, that made them take a radical u-turn towards God’s spirit. Who does that?

I believe, rather than wasting our time on doubting His Existence, we should concentrate more on how to be the fragrance ourselves, to be able to reach His nostrils, and pay attention to walking close to Him “in faith”. Because when He does wonders in our lives, we would know that its His mighty outstretched arms upon our heads, blessing us, protecting us, and making ways for us to live a victorious life.
