“Criteria, For being ‘Chosen’ “
Let’s get into a bit of brief details, on the Biblical nation ‘Israel” (Chosen nation) today.
We’ll look into a few facts and figures.

Abraham, his son Yitshak(Isaac), and grandson Jacob(Israel), are referred to as the Patriarchs of the Israelites. All three Patriarchs lived in the land of Canaan, that later came to be known as Israel. They and their wives are buried in the Ma’arat HaMachpela, the tomb of the Patriarchs,in Hebron(Genesis chapter 23)

The name Israel derives from the name given to Jacob (Genesis 32:29).
His 12 sons were the kernels of twelve tribes that later developed into the Jewish nation. The name Jew derives from Yehuda (Judah) one of the twelve sons of Jacob(Exodus1:1) So the names Israel, or Jewish refer to people of the same origin.

Around 1300 BCE, after their exodus from Egypt, under the leadership of Moses, descendents of Abraham crystallised into a nation. Torah (the Ten Commandments)(Exodus chapter 20), was transmitted to this emerging nation Israel, by Moses.””

In the third month after the Israelites left the land of Egypt, the same day they came into the Wilderness of Sinai. Moses went up to God and the Lord called Him out of the mountain, and commanded to say to all the people, the Israelites.(Exodus 19:5-9)

Exodus 19:18 describes how Mount Sinai was wrapped in fire, for The Lord descended upon it in fire, its smoke ascended like that of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly and hence “Ten Commandments” came into existence. It was a direct verbal command, dictated to Moses( a mortal) by God(The creator of the Universe) amazing! If you go into a bit of details. You will come to know, that Moses was ‘chosen’ by God Himself to be a leader for the Israelites, not that Moses was “Holy” he was as flesh and blood as you and me ( To be able to hear from God, you need to be willing. Jesus said in Mathew 5:8, that pure in heart would see God).

He (The Great I Am), chooses, ‘us,’ to be His priests, to be His vessels, to be His anointed ones. but of course, we need to have a willing heart, to learn, to be trained under His ‘Staff”, without complaining much during the training process. But don’t worry, He is our loving dad, He will never overload you with burdens that you cannot endure, neither will He abandon you, nor forsake you, be assured

“Oh Fountain of everlasting love, what shall I say of you? How can I ever forget you , who have designed to remember me, even after I had corrupted and lost myself?

You have showed mercy to your servant beyond all hope, and you have given him grace and friendship above all merits. What return shall I make to you for this Grace?
Is it a great thing to serve you, whom every creature is bound to serve? It seems great and wonderful to me, that you deign to receive, as your servant, and number among your beloved servants, me, who am so unworthy and so poor,

You alone are worthy, deserve all praise, honour, and glory how I wish, that even for one day, if I could worship you, worthily!!!”
