We live in a strange world, sometimes it becomes very difficult to understand, whether the humans are animals or the animals we see around, who are so very sensitive towards everything around them are being human? Of late I saw quite a few videos, that were being circulated all over in the world, through big social networks like Facebook and Whatsapp. They were heart wrenching, they broke my heart completely. I was wondering God must be feeling ashamed after creating “human beings”. We behave so cruel towards each other and equally cruel towards animals. A video that I saw recently, in which a man was lifting up stray dogs by their skin and throwing them with great pressure on the ground. The dogs were shrieking and running away from him, and he would go chasing them and would again hold them and punish them by repeating what he was doing earlier.”I felt faint” seeing such cruelty. I was wondering whether the guy is worth calling a human being? NO. Today’s date, social media is very active, come to think of it, its so easy to share or send messages across to millions of viewers in no time, and this particular guy must have thought, this is the best way to attract people’s attention towards himself. The one who was recording the entire video, why couldn’t he raise his voice or stop this guy from this inhuman cruelty? Probably he needed mileage too through all this, rather than working for a good cause, they chose cruelty to make themselves popular. How sad! But we are also responsible for these cruel things in a way. If we do not circulate these videos, he wouldn’t have got mileage. He got encouragement when he saw people sharing it and watching it. His purpose was achieved. He was infamously famous. These kinds believe any publicity is good publicity and “we are helping them”.

Surprisingly there was another video that I sawit had a small pup gathering up water to save some fishes, that were dying probably must have fallen off from an aquarium (I am assuming), or must have flown out of some water body. This dog is supposed to be an animal, yet so much sensitivity, he was trying to save the fishes despite the choice he had of eating them up.!
God created this beautiful world with such beauty filled in every nook and corner and how sadly we destroy everything, without thinking twice about our actions and their repercussions.
If we choose to be kind, we can really make lot of difference in this world in our small and big ways, a disciplined mind and a disciplined tongue comes real handy in choosing to be kind.
To be able to discipline ourselves, we need lot of personal prayer time to begin with.
