Not my voice Lord, but your words!
“The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life””( John 6:63).
Word of God is creative. Word of God is fire(refinesus like gold). Word of God is like water(it cleanses us of all impurities). Word of God is like honey(heals our bitter hearts and emotions). It is power(As we claim the promises everyday, it becomes life and purifies our tongues as well).
With Words the entire Universe was created. The milky ways, starry hosts, and all the planets and everything in it, were all created by the breath of His mouth. He spoke and it all came to be. By Words. Billions of galaxies in the universe, created just by words. Can you imagine the greatness of our God?
The purpose of all the holy scriptures, is to make us wise and ready us for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. His words are light. As we receive and meditate on His words, we are filled with inner radiance and peace and divine joy ,that never leaves us. We are trained to face our life maturely and wisely.
“”Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. The entrance of your words gives light, it gives understanding to the simple(Ps 119:105, 130). Holy Spirit, Spirit of truth leads us, guides us to know all truth.
But if we are not dedicated enough to read the scriptures with complete honesty, chances are we will always be confused about what our mission in life is. Thorough knowledge of scriptures is really important, else we will never be spiritually mature.
Spiritual immaturity leads to too many confusions in life. With little scriptural knowledge if we march ahead to share Gospel, chances are not a single soul will come to saving knowledge of the throne of Grace.
Often in our enthusiasm, we go ahead without full knowledge of the word of God. And half knowledge is dangerous. Because eventually over a period of time, with little knowledge we tend to forget God’s spoken words and start loving our own voices. Then it’s no more God’s work, rather becomes our work, our ministry. Well, honestly, if God isn’t the focus of our work, it never is a ministry to begin with. We have to be spiritually mature to handle God’s word. Else chances are, worldly distractions willtake us far away from God and His words. Daily fellowship with God is extremely necessary….to grow and nourish our spirit and soul.
Fervency of spirit…is true worship.
Worship is supposed to have fire and passion in it. Passion for Lord and fire in prayer. That gets prayers answered.
If we simply remember a few points before we get into sharing Gospel withthe world, it would be really great.
We are Not here to preach, but to reach (hearts of people with Christ’s love)
We are Not here to hear and love our own voices, but to hear His voice and His words.
Mathew 7:1….””judge not that you may not be judged” So we are not here to judge anyone. Our job is to plant the seed, the ‘word of God”, and leave the seed for God to grow, mature and prosper:)
When we are looking down on people coming from various backgrounds, we are judging them. During course of ministry, I often came across people who are supposedly ‘seasoned’ believers, feeling too holy about the fact that they have been touched by Christ way too long to remember and now they look down and judge the ones who are new to faith. Point is…they forget, they were spiritually sick some time, and it was His mercy that touched them ( Mark 2:17, it is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners). Now the new ones in faith need the same amount of love and affection from us, that Lord showed us always, to grow in the word, to be as bold as us to proclaim Christ as their personal Savior. But, they need time.
We have to understand another very simple thing. Every person coming to faith are from different backgrounds, circumstances and family environments. Many people can’t afford to be bold about their faith living in their families and societies. Probably they do not have so much courage, or maybe circumstances aren’t allowing them. We have to be simply loving, andkeep encouraging them till the time they are bold enough to proclaim that their personal Savior and Lord is Christ Jesus alone.
Knowing the persona of God, at times I feel God could have prevented people from forming groups, clans and religions during tower of Babel, being “The One” that He is( Mathew 19:26, with God all things are possible). But He did not do so. He allowed the differences in their languages and eventually religions. There has to be a purpose behind all this.
Genesis 11 :5 records, God saw the city and the tower people were building. And Lord said let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other. “” It was God’s plan to confuse them. Hencethey were scattered from there to all over the earth. Being the person God is, He could have kept them together IF He wanted to. But He allowed them to scatter and differ from each other in cultures , languages and eventually religions.
So when we are called in faith from all across globe, from various religious backgrounds, we all are basically called for specific missions, chosen by God Himself. It also implies to an extent that God trusted us to be carriers of His words, His chosen ones that He could trustfor difficult missions, to reach out to people😊. Isn’t that great?

But when we judge others, when we aren’t fully equipped with the ‘word of God’ we are in a way proving God’s decision to choose us as an ‘unwise decision’. I am sure you wouldn’t want that. I wouldn’t want that. If you ask me, I would be too eager to please my Heavenly daddy for choosing me as His ambassador and will try and do my best to perform the job He trusted me with. But before starting on our missions, we really need to put on God’s complete armor, ( Ephesians 6: 13-14). “Tightening the belt of Truth around our loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God”.
Always seek the Holy Spirit to lead you guide you and bless you in your work, accordingly to His will .
Let it always be His voice, His words and His work and Never our voice, our fleshly words or our work.
Blessings!
