Anointed
“Teach me to do Your will. For You are my God. Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground”” Psalm 143:10.
Ministry life is never easy. It wasn’t easy for Israelites. It wasn’t easy for Jesus either.
It isn’teasy for anyone who earnestly, tirelessly, passionately serves the Lord. Resistance attempts will stand in your way as you choose to obey and serve God. Victory is assured though.
Trick is never to question. Our eyes should be fixed on Him who called us. As in the days of Ezra 3:11, Children of Israel faced much opposition as they worked to “”restore the temple””, but they never lost sight of God’s goodness. We need to keep reminding ourselves, God is good all the time. His mercies endure forever.
Fears do overwhelm us, yes. But if we choose to remain calm and focused on Him, the storm will pass without touching us. That’s a personal experience. Often the challenges I faced years back, I felt were overwhelming. But I chose to remain calm and focused. Claimed all the promises written in the scriptures, during my personal fellowship with my Heavenly dad. And the storms quietly passed away without touching us. Nevertheless left an impact in my heart about how powerful My God is. That even the storms obey Him.Psalm 119:68 “”You are good and do good. Teach me Your statutes.”
I reminded myself that I am anointed, and called by Him AND NOTHING CAN EVER TOUCH HIS ANOINTED. And so it was. He proved I was and am indeed anointed, His chosen one.
Hebrews 1:9 “”You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness, therefore God , your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions””.
Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me. Because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted. To proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners. “”
Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil. My cup overflows.””
No matter how well educated you are, or how many special skills you have, your ministry will never have the power to transform lives. What will give you the power is “”full anointing of The Holy Spirit”” . Experiencing full anointing by The Holy Spirit will equip you to function fruitfully and be effective in ministry.
Anointing brings deliverance, strength and Salvation to God’s people.
Oil in the old testament days is symbolic of The Holy Spirit. Anointing a person with oil is symbolic of Holy Spirit coming upon the person mightily, for a specific designated purpose.
Every sinner experiences a leper’s anointing when he is ‘’born again’’( a leper was considered unclean to be a member of Israel, just like us sinners who have been miry before we were touched by Lord, saved and made clean and fully restored and called born again)
John 3:5-6, “”Jesus replied, what I am telling you so earnestly is this, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God””
All who believe in Christ and submit their ways to His Lordship, experience a measure of the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:9 says, Ïf anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
Anointing empowers us and impacts every area of our lives, changes our outlooks. But what it primarily does, are these:-
Tunes our ears to hear Him more often, helps us to serve Him with diligence and humility and helps us in our personal walk with Christ. Our ministry will have more impact in people’s lives, transform their lives as well as help us to understand our own specific reason for being in His ministry. We are ready for our next level of anointing, “” priestly anointing”, to handle ministry work.

It’s actually quite interesting how Lord takes us from glory to glory while we are careful with our walk with Lord. I experienced it first hand. I simply loved it😊 every breath I praise Him, thank Him for His lead and Lordship in my life. Without Him absolutely nothing is possible. But with Him? Trust me, everything is possible.
Enjoy the freedom of being “”set apart””. You are consecrated for God’s work. Sacred and Holy. Our commitment to a righteous and holy living will help bring many to experience salvation. It will also give us an unexplainable freedom, that knows no boundaries, an inner joy and assurance and continuous source of blessings and abounding grace😊
Enjoy being “”Anointed””.
Blessings!
