Having enemies in this world, is quite common. We find people unnecessarily jealous with each other. Some go to the extent of even wiping us out from the face of earth. So enraged they get with our fruitfulness and prosperity, that instead of working out in making themselves fruitful and happy, all they can think of, is how to hinder our prosperity and conspire to harm us. I have been through it. We think that our relatives will build us. But unfortunately, they are the ones who love to see you unhappy and falling in life. Rather they are the ones who use people against you, to bring you down.

Fortunately we have a very loving God who sees it all. He keeps a record of your tears . The book of Psalm 56:8 says, “God keeps a track of all our sorrows. He collects all our tears in His bottle. He records each one in His book.” I personally am a witness to that. How many times, my enemies plotted against me, and how many times my Lord rose up for me. Yes I am a witness to His mercies and His goodness.

If you think wicked people can keep going on with their wickedness and succeed too, then my friends, let me encourage you. Your “heavenly dad never sleeps nor slumbers”(Psalm 121:4).

Proverbs 14:32 “the wicked is thrust down by his wrongdoing, but the righteous has a refuge when he dies”

Psalm 32:10 “ Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the Lord, loving kindness surround him”

Mathew25:46 “wicked will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life”

Proverbs 24:22 “For their calamity will rise suddenly”.

I can go on with scriptures after scriptures on how God deals with the wicked ones. There is absolutely nothing to lose heart or fear your enemies.

Interestingly, Bible is full of beautiful scriptures that narrates real stories of real people, who felt same emotions that we feel, while seeing our enemies rising up against us. Let me share one such beautiful story. If you go through the story in the book of 2 Kings 6:17, it’s the story of Prophet Elisha, who was in Dothan, and the king of Syria was planning to take him a captive. So the king sends his chariots and horses and his army around the city. Servant of Prophet Elisha was gripped in fear, because Lord had not opened his spiritual eyes yet. So he saw enemies with his worldly physical eyes. So naturally he was scared. But Elisha prayed to Lord to ‘open his spiritual eyes’ that he may see the heavenly protection God had already sent. The scriptures 2 Kings 6: 17 says, as God opened his spiritual eyes, the young man saw ‘mountain was full of horses and chariots full of fire round about Elisha, and ‘more were with them than their enemies’.
