Self Esteem
Since God created each one of us, the last thing we could be is ‘’UGLY’’. God took much care while He was creating us. It is His great love, that He gives us life, beauty, family and all the blessings we don’t even ask for. Genesis 1:27 quotes, “GOD created mankind in His own image””. He wanted each one of us to be a reflection of HIM😊. Inspite of God’s all efforts, I find many people having low self esteem .
Well, to explain the meaning of the word “self esteem’’, its an overall EVALUATION of a person about oneself. It is his/her thoughts, feelings, talents about themselves, where they place themselves in the societal strata, and also their own feelings about how society takes them. To an extent, their problem could be circumstantial, surrounded by negative people engaged in unproductive things, who wouldn’t do a thing to improve, but only sit and complain and judge and make self and others feel bad.
That’s why people are becoming more of people pleasers to be acceptable. People with low self esteem are generally the ones who fall prey to wrong company or end up with wrong partners in life, simply because they could not accept that they are worth more and deserve better than what they have in their platter. It is an emotional disease too. Because when God created us, He wanted only the best for us. Sky should be our limit since King of the Universe is by our side. But when we depend too much on people and their opinions about usbegin to matter more, we develop some sort of an inferiority complex which in return plays a major role in creating a negativeself image about ourself. It’s a vicious cycle. If we do not take charge of our lives in a positive way, we are surely in for trouble.
Let’s see what scriptures say about how God sees us. First of all, one thing we should always remember, God created us with love and all that matters is His opinion about us, and not exactly people’s .
Isaiah 11:2 declares, “God’s Spirit is the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of reverential and obedient fear of the Lord”. When our eyes are focused on God, we evaluate ourselves from His eyes.
If I have to give an example of myself, I have generally been a very confident person from childhood. Some people are born confident and some have to work on it. In my case, I was born with it to an extent Which ofcourse helped me get into the glamour field in the first place. But once I came to the saving knowledge of Christ, my life and confidence level took a whole new dimension. Now I started seeing myself how my Loving heavenly dad sees me. Now I recognized myself not merely as a model of some worldly magazines, but as a child of God. Because now I realized that I was in reality a miry clay who needed the Potter’s hand to beautifyand perform on a whole new platform in my coming days. Because my Lord had called me , for a much greater purpose, for much greater service 😊.
“Thus says the Lord (Isaiah 49:8), In an acceptable and favourable time, I have heard and answered you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you. I will preserve you and give you for a covenant to the people, to raise up and establish the land and to apportion and cause them to inherit the desolate”.
Condemnation is never from God. It is our own guilt, fear and shame that separates us from God. It is the devil, operating through people and also through our own conscience that gives a poor image of self. If we assess ourselves through God’s eyes, we will feel convicted in our spirits and eventually go to God asking for forgiveness, which in return will build our personal relationship with God as we fellowship. We all are ultimately imperfect people, serving a perfect God. Once we know this truth, we will never have an identity crisis. We will never feel bad about ourselves and settle for less. Rather we will be busy using our gifts and talents for serving our perfect God, who forgave us and made us saints out of miry clay. Once you know GOD’S THOUGHTS AND BEAUTIFUL PLANS FOR YOU, PEOPLE’S OPINIONS WOULDN’T MATTER TO YOU ANYMORE. IT NEVER MATTERED TO ME. Walk in light, walk in truth. You can evaluate yourself better in light and truth. If you are strong in some areas, use it for the glory of God. If you are weak in some, work on it with prayers and hardwork .At least you tried!!!!God will make everything perfect in His time.

Philippians 4:13 says, Ï can do all things in Him who strengthens me “”
Psalms 46:5….”God is within her, she will not fall.””
Psalm 31:25…”She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future””
2 Timothy 1:7…”For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self discipline. “”
I can quote many verses to you, but you have to believe in your Creator and yourself. He made you, and He made you perfect in His eyes. If people make you believe otherwise, it’s their problem, not yours. “
Simply trust in the One who called you for much greater things than you can imagine . Why settle for less if you are destined for more?
Much love and blessings😊
