Sharing Dominion
Our God is a creative God and an equally compassionate God. How much He paid attention to details while He was at His best, creating the earth. Book of Genesis or the ‘Book of beginnings’ explained so beautifully how God formed the earth and made the firmament and separated the waters, which were under the expanse, from the waters which were over the expanse(Genesis 1:7).
Most beautiful thing was while laying the foundations of the earth, He had a wonderful vision. He followed His vision, while beautifying the earth.

Man was the most supreme creation of God, since He made man in His own image (Genesis 1:27).
Adam was His first creation of human race. Eve was to follow shortly (Genesis 2:22)
God had no confusion while laying the foundation of the earth. He was very clear about every single thing He created and the specific roles they were to play on earth. But I think we humans are the most confused lot. We not only misinterpret scriptures, but also confuse others with our own theories, that it may benefit our egos.

Genesis 1:26 says, God said “Let US make mankind in our image and our own likeness and let THEM HAVE Complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts, and over all the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. (Adam was created in the next verse , that is chapter 1, verse 27, and Eve was created in Chapter 2:22). God never said, let Him (Adam) have complete authority. The plan was for both of them (Adam and Eve). Which means man and woman were to share everything and work as a team, as partners in everything. God wanted THEM to have DOMINION. It was the inheritance of mankind for all generations to come.
Adam and Eve as co-regents of Creation, represented the model for this dominion, to be expressed in families and marriages . They were heirs together.
God never planned one man rule, or any kind of dictatorship, neither a king ruling all, ever was God’s choice. Book of 1 Samuel 8:7 shows how God felt sad in His heart. God said “They have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them.”
So basically God”s vision was always for a teamwork.
When Jesus walked the earth, He chose His 12 disciples (again a team to work together). Jesus knew, His team was to carry the work all over the world once He ascends to Heaven. He thanked God the Father, for preparing a body to work as a team. Book of Hebrews 10:5 records “Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, …..a body hast thou prepared me”.

Jesus shared His Power and Authority with His chosen 12 disciples. Gave THEM the power and authority to cure all diseases, cast out demons and preach the Gospel all across. (Luke 9:1).Luke chapter 10 verse 1 records, Jesus chose 70 more and sent them two by two into every town, with power and authority. Again it was an organised teamwork. The next verse (Luke 10:2) records Lord saying, “ Harvest is abundant, but farmlands are few. Pray therefore the Lord of harvest to send out labourers into His harvest (which means more team members were welcome, be it man or woman. He never specified it has to be a man). It was a great idea to always have a team to work together. When one falls prey to deception, others encourage, and help the weaker one from stumbling. It was also for the purpose of keeping all the team members together, to work towards the goal with same integrity and faithfulness, following the lead of the Holy Spirit and armed with biblical scriptures, not for self gratification, but for saving the rest of the world from falling prey to lies and deceiving spirits.
Today’s world is more self centred, and falls prey to lies and deception very easily. All are running in pursuit of self centred goals. Building a team probably is the last thing in their minds, be it ministries, or secular world. All are busy making use of each other as step ladder. These prophetic verses would really come alive if we follow the simple principles, and work together always as a team, whether in ministries or our workplaces or at home. Two are always better than one. Goals are achieved, prayers are heard, when two are working together. As book of Mathew records (Mathew 18:20), “where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them”.
“And when THEY had prayed, the place was shaken where THEY were assembled together , and THEY were ALL filled with the Holy Ghost and THEY spake the word of God with boldness, THEY had all things common(Acts 4:31).”
Let’s walk in close fellowship with each other, always submitting to God, as we resist the devil, and always pray that we live in integrity and never try to deceive the Holy Spirit.
